I put in an order for a 2014 MINI, and was later told the Harman/Kardon audio couldn't be included by my MA. I told him to postpone the order until it became available. Two days later my MA told me he could put in the order and sent me a Vehicle Inquiry with my build. The HK system isn't listed on the inquiry, but he said his manager would send an email to add it.

Does anyone have experience with this happening? I told him I wouldn't accept delivery of the car if the Harman/Kardon audio wasn't present, but I feel like he is just trying to get the car here and thinks I won't refuse delivery once I see the car.

Should I ask for an updated Inquiry that includes it?

Personally, I would ask for an updated inquiry and if they can't, I would be cautious and have a written statement where you tell them you requested HK and if the car doesn't have it, you will be refusing the car (without $ penalty).

That with an "message acknowledge" from themselves.

That sounds dodgy to me. Why wasn't it available in the first instance?

Yes, agree with Patch here. Put it all in writing, and make sure they confirm with you that it will be part of the build. Good luck :)
It wasn't available at first due to the shortage they're having with HK. It might be a US thing, but I was under the impression they were having supply issues worldwide. The builder won't allow the MA to add HK, it has to be overridden by a manager.

My MA has assured me he will send an updated Vehicle Inquiry once it has been added.
