I just need to find the correct parameters, the damping is bound to be configured as 0-100% 'stiffness' for each driving mode (I hope) though the actual damping value will probably vary about a 'base' value dependent on road speed (gets stiffer the faster you go - oooerrrThis sounds fantastic. I'd love to know if you can vary the suspension settings and whilst I'm sure this technically possible I'm betting their physical range isn't that much greater than the software range......
I bought the software and a suitable programming cable from a bloke in the USA. It's not strictly legal to own it (I don't think) though you can get it if you want it. You can code any 'F' series BMW / Mini with it.Is the software easy to get hold of?![]()
Quick, everyone with adaptive dampers round to Catflap's...he has cables!! :nerd:I just need to find the correct parameters, the damping is bound to be configured as 0-100% 'stiffness' for each driving mode (I hope) though the actual damping value will probably vary about a 'base' value dependent on road speed (gets stiffer the faster you go - oooerrr) - it must be in there somewhere...:nerd:
Just need to get my wife out of the car long enough for me to get the laptop plugged in and play!
I agree on that point , but would be interested to hear your findings - It would be really nice to have a favorite mode , where you can have your preferred throttle setting, suspension , my ideal would beThis sounds fantastic. Interesting....!!Done my first bit of coding on our new MCS - added the tyre (wheel) temperature readings to the Tyre Pressure Monitoring Display.
Using the E-Sys software / Ethernet cable that I use on my BMW X5 (F15) - works great.
Lack of a rev counter when flipping into sport does seem a tad odd, not a major loss though as the engine isn't especially fast reving - makes a huge difference to a fast reving high powered engine, a good visual aid to assist well timed shifts; e60 M5 had a screen projector where the rev counter would progressively turn green, amber and red through the rev range - suspect it could be resolved for the MINI with a software update as could greater latitude in configuring the driver modes...I'm pretty sure this is definitely not doable... but I'd love to see some rev feedback on the HUD. Would be fantastic.
Love the sound of more extreme damper settings and so on.
Peter - yes possible. I built a wiring bypass system but the ASD can be software bypassed (see pic 1). GregI wonder if you can also disable the ASD with this?
Very interesting . Thanks for sharingPeter - yes possible. I built a wiring bypass system but the ASD can be software bypassed (see pic 1). Greg
Also I read somewhere that the car can be programed to sound like a V8! Unplugged the engine sounds like it does....Very interesting . Thanks for sharing![]()
