Has anyone stage 2/3 tuned a B48 F56 MCS "automatic"? If so, please share your setup and any issues.

I was told my options for a stage 2/3 are limited due to the car being an automatic (the transmission can't be reinforced and won't hold up to the higher torque levels). However, if I install forged pistons, rods, springs and machined heads and a custom tune, I can get close to ~310 whp. It is recommended to keep the torque below 330 to keep from harming the transmission.

I have a 2017 MCS Automatic. I'd stay its in between stage 1 and stage 2. Also stuck at the same point where you are.

-JCW Pro Exhaust
-Airtec Intercooler
-Miltek Downpipe
-K&N Intake
-Custom Tune by ByteTronik.

You'll be able to get way more than 310 HP with a built motor and turbo upgrade.

Who told you all the information about the transmission? Nothing is impossible, just gotta find the right shop to do it ;)

Don’t post on here much but had the car back for a while now just driving around like normal until mapping.
New engine and turbo combo feels strong and even tho I’m on my old map you can tell it’s going to be pretty special when it’s tuned,

Is it the same gearbox as in the f56 SD? As the SD makes a load of torque esp when mapped and the gearbox is more than up to the job. A cooper SD making 250hp also makes 375lb of torque and has no problems. Despite what many people think an auto box is over engineered and stronger than a manual equivelant. Goes well too ?

Got my mcs tuned at 270hp and 370nm torque. Stage 1 only remus exhaust and forge cai. The tuner was going for 400+nm torque but I asked him to reduce it a bit because the automatic is limited to max 400nm. He told me the automatic could take a bit more without any issues but the engine was at it max tune with stock internals @ 280hp. Still asked him to not go to the max and this is where he ended with stock engine. Honestly I would not spend that amount of money just to reacht 300/310/320 hp. You could reach more hp actually with forged internals but you must limit the torque. I have seen cars with low torque and high hp.

I have a fully forged b48 with big hybrid turbo.
All ran in and ready for stage 3 mapping in the new year. Haven’t gone super tech though as I wanted lower compression than jcw spec

Hi pal looking at doing a forge piston upgrade on my b48 weighing in on the kit I see you didn’t go with super tech what option you went with right now I was looking at super tech an cp what option you used for your build

I used the parts from the mini challenge engine builders.
There own rods and mahle pistons. Lower compression ration to that of supertech and nice and local to us in the uk.
Unfortunately the car no longer exists

Tbh I returned it to stock appearance wise and sold it and got an m4 competition

Nice one my goals soon to come actually have a 330E with same engine was running bootmo3 stg started getting a rough idle and fault in like a month compression check cylinder 4 was readying bout 120 all the rest was 150-155 was thinks going forge once I’m going in the engine was just looking for any feedback on the super tech forge pistons and rods...everyone saying cp is the better brand but they hella expensive mite take the body shots and go with the cp

Good day! How is your f56 mini build coming along? I am now interested in Upgrading pistons, springs & rods. Doing what's needed to keep engine safe with my tune & FBO. My goal is to keep my daily driven mini f56 reliable & safe with 305whp. Btw have any of yous heard and have feedback on "Turbo Parts Canada" rebuilt turbo platform for mini f56 b48?
