Just bought a beautiful Chili-Red 2019 Countryman S and was hoping to do some coding to upgrade the head unit, only to find out it's just an ENTRYNAV2! (Noob mistake, lesson learned). I've been told CarPlay can be unlocked on it, but it doesn't have Navigation (not sure if true, but also heard it's needed for CarPlay to work).

Rather than upgrading the head unit (which my dealership said they can't/won't do) or acquiring all the parts and codes to do it myself, someone suggested getting the Fxx Navi Activator from customretrofit.ro, which only requires a Donor FSC Code to unlock.

So, one drunk night I took the leap and bought one 🙃 (which came surprisingly fast for Europe to US)!

Now I'm having second thoughts. Safety is my top concern and I don't want to be fumbling with my phone. But my car still has 25k miles & 1yr left on the warranty.

QUESTION? - Does anyone have step by step instructions for installing and activating donor codes for something like this? (all that's provided is a wiring diagram. I do have a working copy of ESys and a cable, just haven't coded anything yet).

I still have a few days left to return it, but I'm thinking about holding on to it for later use. In the meantime, if anyone wants it for cost, DM me and I'll pay for the shipping.

Where do you get the doner FSC from?
Doesn't look too bad, scary part may be cutting the can wires, up you could splice them later if needed.
I assume they confirmed it works with the F60?
There's Nav in Carplay of course, which is another option.

That's my biggest worry. I wonder if I can create a molex adapter that I can unplug the unit and reset the codes when I need to take it in to the dealer.
Yes, my source says it's the only device he is aware of that works with HU, plus website says works with ENTRYNAV and ENTRYNAV2
I'll be happy with either or CarPlay Nav or built-in nav (nice to have both, but at this point not picky).
There are a couple of sources on Bimmerfest who can provide donor codes.
