Anyone changed their manual gear stick before? Ive heard they dont have threads and instead have screws? Is this correct? if so, where can i order a gear stick from with the correct fitting or where can i buy an adapter?

if you get an aftermarket like, cravenspeed and raceseng, they include a threaded adapter. cravenspeed has good instructions on removing the stock knob and boot. you really have to tug really hard to pop off the stock knob. they include a nifty tip on pushing an 11/16" socket onto the end of the tabs that retain the boot to help squeeze them in as they can easily break (not too much of an issue if you don't plan on saving or re-using the stock knob). for me the 11/16" that didn't quite pinch in the four tabs enough so i found that a 5/8" worked better.
