Got my Goodie Bag today

Got mine a few days back as well. Sent from Mini USA, rather than from the dealer.

I've gotten a "goodie bag" with the last two Minis I bought. I ordered another one on 4/21, so hope I get one with the contents described in this thread.

Got mine too. Thought it was from subscribing to Mini International on the mini owners lounge because same magazine was included in the bag.

Do you have to finance thru them to get it? I got one when I leased my first mini. I have not received one after my purchase in October. .. but we financed thru a bank. Maybe you only get one no matter how many minis you buy.

Got mine yesterday. Not much of value, but a nice gesture.

Hmmm. I wonder what makes you rate a goodie bag. Perhaps I've owned mine for too little a time. I'll be patient and wait.

Woohoo! I finally got my bag of tricks too!

I'm impressed! That's a nice insulated bag/mini backpack, a quality pen, very nice motoring log, and I think the little rubber Mini Cooper USB drive is way cool. That makes two USB drives Mini has given me now - and they can just keep it up by my way of thinking. I'm not quite sure what to do with my antenna topper (dice) tho, since I have a shorty antenna and not the whip, but I'm sure I can figure something out... maybe stick a thumbtack in it and hang it from the mirror ha. I'd forgotten completely about this thread until I went to the mail and found this big package stuffed in what's left of my mailbox (long story... rural road problem). Pretty nice stuff!

Is this something they are still sending out? How long before they send it to you after you buy the car? I just got my second MINI a week ago tomorrow and i am a swag-a-holic! I am really hopping i get a package full of goodies soon!

I believe it may be dealer dependent. I never got one for the first MINI I bought. The second one was through a different dealership and I received the package of stuff about 3 months after purchase.

Really like the goodie bag. Love the MINI usb stick. I wish they would color coordinate it to the MINI you buy.

Own my F56 JCW about a month and no goodies sent to me yet. :crying: Owned an '06 MCSC before this one, same dealer, and don't recall getting a goodie bag, though dealer often had goodie giveaway events every so often when I'd be in there. From those I have a few antenna toppers (and if you play it right, you can ease them onto even the shorty versions; like any tight hole you want to put a fat stick into, you have to work at it gently, especially without using lube 0), shopping bags, hats, T-shirts, pens, dual USB ports that fit the lighter hole, and maybe some other stuff. Anyone know definitively what the story is about what's being sent out and when and under what circumstances?

Actually, of all things, it was waiting for me when I got home.:laugh:

Just wish the dice came as a pair, one white with black dots (traditional and what I got) and the reverse, black with white dots (which is far more practical as a topper, as white will pick up dirt over time, though handled gently, they are washable). I like the idea of rigging it to hang from the rear-view mirror, though I already have a hanging pair of 8-balls there now. Still fuzzy dice was the original tradition.

Oh, by the way, a word of caution for anyone trying to ease a topper onto a fat shorty antenna. :nerd: Once you ease that fat stick into that tiny hole it will be stretched permanently. It will ease back towards the original opening size, but it will be permanently larger and will no longer snuggly fit the stock antenna well. You'd likely lose it, unless you take steps to augment the stock tip with some tape to widen the end to better fit the topper's stretched hole.

I got my goodie bag the other day, It is the same as three years ago.

My husband and I both took delivery of our new MINIs on the same day in July. He got his goodie bag weeks before I got mine, so I'm not sure there is a method to the madness. As this is my third MINI I wasn't concerned about it either way so was pleasantly surprised when mine showed up last week .

That's kind of cool they do this. Here's hoping they're still doing it when I get my MINI in a few weeks. I've never seen a brand put so much effort into its customers.
