You can add it in by coding.

I think you have to code, under KOMBI, 3000>GPS_UHR and set it to "aktiv"
Has this worked for people? I coded it on mine but I've never seen it change on it's own.

Thanks for the answer!

I do believe I have a more serious problem. Since I got my Cooper three weeks ago I have had to set the time right three times. It seems to go off by about three minutes per week.

Can anyone confirm that their clock keeps time correctly?

I'm actually having trouble with this simple coding. When I have it enabled, my time zone is set to UHT (GMT) and not my current time zone. Does anyone know how I can get it to read my time zone correctly? Thanks!

See thread here: GPS Time Sync

Coding settings required are:
  • BKOMBI > 3000 Anzeige_Konfiguration > GPS_UHR = aktiv
  • HU_ENTRYNAV > 3000 HMI > SETTINGS_TIME_AUTOMATIC = online
  • HU_ENTRYNAV > 3000 HMI > CLOCK_CHANGE_AUTOMATIC = aktiv
Also discusses a known defect which causes the time drift without a sync source.

My previous car was able to sync the time using the onboard GPS. I have the Wired package with the 8.8" screen but I cannot find a similar option anywhere. Does an option like that exist?
