I swapped out my Chrome Bezels for the Black once today. The Head Light Bezels came off really easy about 5 minutes to swap them out. The Tail Light Bezels are a bit harder I used a Hook Tool from my Mercedes Tool Box so it was easy to go between the Bezel and the Body with out doing damage to the Paint.

and took them off very careful. Installed the black Bezel from the Top and snapped them in however both rear Bezel do not lay flash on the outer Side with the Body of the Car. I wonder if I missed something here when I installed them.

When I looked at the Bezel they have not been warped so I must have done something wrong or they are not a good fit. BTW they are original Mini/BMW Parts. I might just stop by at the Dealer to let them look at it just to make sure the Parts do not have a defect.:(

I noticed that when I swapped mine too. I uninstalled and reinstalled and they look the same. Maybe it's more noticable with black?

I wanted to add that this toolkit works very well for applications like this or any other trim removal. Since they are made of plastic, they won't scratch or marr plastics or paint as easily.

Did you get the new bezels from your dealer?

I've been looking to swap out my chrome ones for black and was wondering where to get them from in the UK!
From another thread on here....I cannot confirm the accuracy...just passing along:

I think these are the BMW-Mini part numbers:

Trim ring, high-gloss, black, front left: 51712355791
Trim ring, high-gloss, black, front right: 51712355798
Trim ring, high-gloss, black, rear left: 51712285495
Trim ring, high-gloss, black, rear right: 51712285496

I guess you can get them from your dealer or online store?

Look here...

I got them from my dealer using those part numbers. They should fit both the F56 and the F55.

Sirus thank you for the Part Numbers. Here is an update :)

Spoke to my Dealer. I have an Appointment to look at the Rings on Wednesday. He ordered new Rings in to have them by Wednesday so his Service Dept can install them.

Talking about some great Service from Mini of Tempe I ordered them in and installed them myself.

I was crying paying over $ 200.00 for 28 Oz of colored Plastic but in the End it pays buying original Mini Parts. Lesson learned.:|:)

Blue, that was my Thought too but after 3 Body Shops did not wanna do it I gave up and opened the Wallet.:(:( I am not so good with a Rattle Can.:|

Kinda strange that the Head Light Rings fit like a Glove. No Problems there.
