Hello,

Been lurking a while but just wanted to actually say hello and introduce the cars.

Moved to the US in Jan and we imported my 1990 VW Polo called Huyi at the same time an then did a 2 month road trip down the East Coast in it.

Once we got to our destination (Florida) we needed a daily driver as it was to hot to use Huyi especially without AC so my wife got Clemmie a 2015 Cooper S. Clemmie turned out to be ex-dealer demo car which means she is fully loaded which is really cool.

After a couple of months we needed a 2nd car for my work. Was looking at BM's and the like but nothing made me smile as my wife's Cooper S. So when I saw a 2015 JCW in North Carolina we hopped on a plane and after a quick test drive we brought her home!

So here we go we are a 2 mini family.

Also Poppy was originally own by BMW and it was a press car used in the 2015 launch. She's X57FMN

Welcome, North Carolina has some fantastic mini twisties if you get the chance check out the Tarheel club for events. It is well worth the trip!

Thanks for the welcome! I really do like that both the cars have a rather cool history. Been searching to see if I can actually find a review using the car but nothing yet.

Absolutely love the Carolina's especially North Carolina. We hit the Blue Ridge parkway and areas around it in both the roadtrip in the Polo and picking up the JCW. Its a place I really could spend more time exploring! Will do KYDan!

Doing a trackday/weekend at Sebring in October but its certainly on the list of things to do, but will be next year now.
