Isn't there a switch? Down by the Gearshift?

Yes from memory bottom right. But I've never used it so will need to check,but yes one of those switches retracts that hud!

I had the switch on the Justa loaner I had. With my polarized sunglasses on the HUD was useless so I retracted it.

Yes it's the right most toggle switch.

Great tip - I was browsing for the answer in a traffic jam today when I noticed the HUD was down... my toddler got onto that toggle I suspect!
