I took my car to the car wash where I have been taking my mini van for the last 12 years. Made it clear to them that the car was to be hand washed and not put through the automatic wash. They vacuum the car first and then it goes to get washed.

Luckily I did not let the car out of my sight and before I know it they had it rolling towards the auto wash! I ran like a mad woman and told them to stop the machine! It managed to get onto the roller thing and I made them back it off! How maddening!

They ended up handwashing, drying etc. (I even took my own supplies so they wouldn't have to use their gross rags).

I don't understand why you don't just wash it by hand yourself?
I can think of a bunch of reasons. Maybe she lives in an apartment. Or in a house with a very steep driveway (it is San Francisco). Or she is physically unable to do it. Or because California is in a drought there are water restrictions prohibiting car washing at home (which is why I have to go to a car wash). Or maybe she just doesn't want to. I don't understand why it would matter.

Ignore them mini girl. Love your posts. Doesn't matter why, love to hear your exploits and frustrations keep posting. If I lived in San Fran I'd def wash your car for you. Washed a friend of wife's vile astra yesterday as I took pity on it. I'm sad like that. Just love washing cars.

Living in Detroit, the thought of hand washing a car in -20 degree weather makes me never want to open my front door again. I understand you're in San Fran, but it's difficult for me to imagine a location where the air doesn't hurt your face right now.

I love San Fran I have been there a few times and it seems to have a strange climate. One July it was misty and freezing but another time in March is was at least 20C and sunny.

To anyone who has not been there, you should visit. Going out to Alcatraz is amazing.

San Diego has great weather when I have been there, cool on the coast but baking hot just a few miles in land.

Also really liked trips to LA. Santa Monica and walking along all the beaches is bril as is Universal Studios Hollywood.

Sorry to go off topic. I must make it over there again sometime.
