It's been just over 3 weeks since I made my order.

I am so excited it's all j ever think about and I'm getting too addicted to this forum and you tube video's that my husband thinks I need help!

Crazy thing is I have had 2 other mini's years ago and as they were getting on andhad high miles I swore never again.

One visit to Chester Mini and I was sold, and I still haven't had a test drive!

Hope it lives up to all this excitement as I'm going crazy ?...

2 weeks down, 8 to go...I'm hoping for end of April but then I was originally told end of March so Lord knows when we'll get our new Mini hoping for a solid date on Tuesday....and I feel your pain. I've done the YouTube so many times that I could build my own!

It's **** isn't it AVP, didn't have this excitement when we were awaiting our other new car (Volvo XC60). For me I think it's the anxiety of what it will look like when it arrives as I spot ones now on the road and think maybe I should have gone for the White or the jazzy orange. I ordered:
MCS in Thunder Grey
Chilli pack
TLC
Black leather
Pan sunroof
visual boost Radio
Chrome int and exterior
Black roof
Chrome wing mirrors
Black Cosmos wheels

Waiting for update from garage tomorrow, hoping its on its way as update last 2 weeks has been its in production. ?

Well worth the wait!

Hang in!

Ordered my Loaded Mini S Manual last June with all the bells and whistles for the U.S. . . Problem with emissions certification delayed delivery for a total of 20 week.

Well worth the wait as I get a thrill at each push button start . . . And I move into Sport Mode. My baby can fly as I have the audible speed warning set at 75 MPH (140 Km) . . . It chimes all the way to work!

If you think it's bad now, just wait... people will think you're certifiable in a few weeks. I ordered mine the 2nd week of Feb and I was fine... watched the how-to videos. Then I got my production number, set up my Mini Owner's account and I went back through all the videos. THEN I got my VIN... started reading the owner's manual and downloaded my Mini Connected app for a car that doesnt yet exist. As of Wednesday, my status was "Scheduled for production" and I watched all the factory tour videos (the National Geographic show is very good) and all the history of Mini shows. I'm out of YouTube video now, randomly re-watching one or two, limit myself to only checking the "Where's My Baby" link once a day, and hanging around here.

It freaks me out a little bit, because I've never been this bad about a car before, but then again, I've never gotten to order a car configured exactly the way I want. The nice thing about it, though, is that I've been able to determine conclusively that this is completely normal behavior for Mini people, so enjoy it! The best advice I've seen (in a similar thread on this site) is not to start second guessing your order, don't get all wrapped up in reading about the problems a few folks are having and get scared, and enjoy the whole experience!

I've gone down the Orange route, first car was an Orange Clubman back in 1989 God knows how I didn't kill myself in that car...loved the Moonwalk Grey & Thunder Grey but decided on nostalgia.

I've ordered;
Mini Cooper 5 Door
Volcanic Orange
Black Roof
Roof Bars
Black Mirrors
Black Bonnet Stripes
Chili Pack
Roulette Rims
Reverse censors
Visual Boost Radio

I've never speced a car before and when I test drove it, it really did remind me of days gone by! 8 weeks to go...(fingers crossed)

Nice! I went orange with black stripes, roof and mirrors as well. Victory spoke silver wheels.

I'd have loved to go with a different set of wheels, but I maxed out the budget by putting in the automatic trans, the US market "wired package" with the XL Nav and all the goodies in that, plus a HUD. Ran out of money before I ran out of wish list.

Yep. It's all about the budget (unfortunatly) would loved to of had the HUD infact I think the battle was Victory wheels and HUD or Roulette rims. Rims won. :0)

2 months and no contact, that's poor.
In all fairness I have had a call from the dealer each week with an update, all be it the same message over the last 3 with "in production".
I queried it this week as I assumed all cooper s were manufactured in UK but was told mine is coming from Germany but should get it in for 30/03. I feel doubtful, but who knows.
What spec did you order?

I've asked for a weekly call even tho I get the same info. My sales chap just sends a screen shot of our order off their ordering system which tells us what week it's due for production and delivery to dealer.

Exactly what I got, screenshots. Also, budget prevented some of the options I would have liked. Mine got delivered yesterday, pick up Thursday.

Relax. It's normal to be an obsessive loon.

my excitement is building the longer it goes on... ordered 19th March, should be ready circa 20th April, not too bad considering its spec'd to order... This is technically my wifes car but i may be more excited than she is!

I love that this is exactly what I've done BOTH times I've ordered a MINI lol.
I wonder how many visitors going to www.marinetraffic.com are people tracking their MINIs..

The nice thing is MINI forums work as kind of a support group...or they enable more obsessive behavior...I haven't decided...
