I have an iPhone 7, and when connected to the car via the standard USB cable, I can select the "Media" type and it plays the media, but I cannot adjust the volume level on the iPhone. The music plays back at 2/3rds volume level.

I would prefer to have the iPhone at full volume, and control the actual volume from the car entertainment system either via the volume dial on the display or the steering wheel.

Anyone else experienced this ?

Cheers

No most odd;you havent got volume protection set on the phone or anything like that have you ie a limiter? Some have them these days in the nanny state! I'm an android user -volume on the phone on full as you say, that's how i operate too.
