So, I have been playing music through my iPod Shuffle on the USB port. I know for a fact there are 135 songs on it but the car is only registering 52? Why would that be?


Also, how would I go about loading songs onto the car's hard drive? I can't find this info in the handbook.

Pass sorry don't do Apple. I put all my tunes onto usb stick and transfer it over.nice and easy.

Are all 135 songs authorised to play on that iPod? What file formats are they? Do they have any DRM protection?

To copy files across you simply place the actual files on a USB flash drive, and use the Import function in the media browser (press Options).

As Profiteroles says, I think the problem could be with file formats. My system won't play any Apple Lossless files. If you have those on your iPod Shuffle, perhaps it's skipping those? (ACC seems to offer the best-quality playable format.)

So I converted the files to AAC files (Or so I thought) but it made no difference. The car's still only registering 52 songs.
I might try connecting it through the AUX instead of the USB to see if it makes any difference.

Once you've got the data on the USB, it's easy. Just plug it into your Mini and play. You can then choose to "Add to your Music Collection" and everything on the USB stick will be imported.
