Enjoying a bit of spirited driving but in a very bendy 40 mph zone so engaged cruise control as I went round a tight bend the car slowed to about 35mph. On its own then as it straightened speed upped back to the 42 mph I'd set. Any ideas?

I know but I was in a boring 50 limit road dropped down to 40 in a village and thought ,let's see if I can leave the cruise to preserve my licence but play a bit of a ,I'm not slowing down game too. It was fun.! As above cruise control chicken.apparently the car switches the cruise off then back on when being sensible again so even the car is telling you,go have fun!

Now you know the procedure.

1) Set Cruise
2) Relax
3) Spot Corner approaching
4) Cruise off
5) Nail It!!
6) GOTO 1

I'm glad I saw this thread as I was wondering the exact same thing after taking a sharpish corner last week with the cruise on, car slowed by a few mph whilst in the corner then went back up to the cruise speed. I just thought 'ooh that's clever' and smiled as I drove.
