Have not seen it. Would be a male - female lightning cable.
Just Googled it for you:

I did not go for this option as my iphone will not with a bumper/case it will not fit either., not an iphone 6/7/8 (larger size) will not fit in the future.

So I like your thought!, but is there enough room to get the iphone in the armrest, without clicking it in the kit?

My option is to have a cup iphone holder
with black charger cable to the USB port.

Would love Mini to add a USB port inside the armrest :)

The connector inside the Armrest is very different to the one on that cable unfortunately, but thanks for looking.

Does anyone know of there is a cable that can plug onto the armrest connector to allow connection to an iphone 4S without getting the MINI adaptor
I think the arm rest connector is MINI/BMW proprietary and having had a look myself don't think there is anything.

I am not a big fan of the USB connection where it is and would love a solution to connect in the arm rest without the snap in. Especially as one for the iPhone 6 will be a while away. :(

My idea is not to have the insert, but to connect a cable straight onto the connector that the insert clicks onto.

That should be possible if I can find a cable with the right connector on the end or an adaptor to connect to usb
