Hi All

New to the forum so hello all !!

I was washing my mini the other day, giving it a real spruce up, I cleaned it inside and whilst fiddling with the steering wheel, the display above the steering wheel showed a graphic of the mini which then winked at me!!

I tried to reproduce it but to no avail, I like to think it was just thanking me for giving it a clean! But it is this just random event or do you need to do certain things to make it happen, like tickling its tummy or giving it a kiss??

Love my mini it surprises me every day!!!

I think it does it as you first get in.noticed mine does it. Very cute!

My Mini refuses to wink at me despite me fiddling around, and getting in and out.

Is there some trick to make it happen, or a setting to be changed somewhere?

I feel I am missing out on something here!

Mine has done it right from the start with no special settings". You have to look quickly, as you are first getting into the car or you will miss it. I always feel like it's going to be a particularly good day when I catch it and it never fails to cheer me up after a bad one. Try looking at the screen before you even get into the car. I hope you catch it!

I'm another newbie so hello to all.

You have to be really quick to see it as you get in, mine also winks as I open the door to get out of the car. I know I'm a big kid but it makes me smile every time and I've had my Cooper for 10 months.

Yes you have to be quick and you need to look at the info screen on the Speedo,

I quit putting my purse behind the driver's seat before I sit down just so I won't miss it.

I've never noticed it. Will be on the lookout when I get in to go to work tomorrow. That will start my day with a bit of cheer.

The first time I noticed it I had my husband come up and sit in the seat while I opened and closed the door.

Mine winked at me on the way out this am-or shoujld i say the mini pic came up-not sure if it winked or not-got to keep your eyes on it! Funny how non f56 owners cant get so excited-not even bothered to tell my wife! She'd just raise her eyebrows to the ceiling (she has a roadster s!)

I've seen that one! And I want Mission Control just to entertain myself and my friends off and on. However, I keep coming across persistent and disturbing rumors that it's only available as a program in the iPhone Mini Connected app. I was really hoping it was loaded into the car itself because I'm an anarchist Android user etc. etc. etc.

Ahh... yeah I can't see it on my android phone. Luckily I have an older iPhone with a cracked screen as a backup phone, i'll see if it's on there... *grumbles*
