FINALLY got to pick up my mini JCW challenge and what can I say.. I've never owned a car that's put such a huge smile on my face! The Challenge comes standard with the valvetronic exhaust and I thinks it completely makes the car - when you find yourself tapping the throttle to get a 'pop' and 'bang'
Got plenty of ideas for the f56 so this weekend I'll get to fit the NM Engineering intake which I ordered from the states along with the KW V1 coilovers, I've also got the JCW aero kit on order (as it's currently on backorder) including the rear diffuser and both front and back arches/splitters. Pictures to come soon!

Hey guys, thanks for your comments, really appreciate it! I've never owned a car that's made me smile so hard as the Challenge has done this past week I think that's mainly down do the valvetronic exhaust. A few updates - got the NMEngineering intake on which came from the states - it sounds incredible.. Plus the fact it pops and bangs even more now! The Aero kit has been ordered (currently on back order which sucks) but really looking forward to fitting. Hopefully next weekend I'll have the KW coilovers on too!

Congrats! Looks awesome...and way to go by adding the LED driving/rally lights. I did that on my JCW & I hardly ever see them added to the JCW (or any MINIs) for that matter!

Cheers,

John

Unlike us paying to add them John, they are standard on the Challenge 210. That's why it costs a lot with all the added extra spec. Almost as much as a JCW:crying:

Didn't know that...thanks for the clarification. I'm not up on the Challenge as it's not available here in the USA afaik. I agree they are not cheap! But, we all make choices, and I just have a am/fm radio...no visual boost, media pack, etc.

But M14 isn't the challenge stock with the aero kit?
Could you share some clips of the intake sound please.

Have you dynoed your challenge to see if there is a power gain from the air intake?

I'm afraid is doesn't come with the full kit - it lacks the GP style rear diffuser and the front and rear lower splitters - Still waiting for them to come in stock which sucks but I'm hoping by the end of this week so I'll get some pictures uploaded. Still need to get the coilovers on but I can safely say the NM Engineering intake sounds great! You don't get the 'chavy' full induction sound but you get a really nice waste gate chatter/turbo chatter (I think there's videos on YouTube of this)

I've been speaking to a few companies regarding a remap and coincidentally come across the guy that actually tunes the Mini challenge race cars as well as a lot of touring cars. Don't want to give away too many details but as soon as I've got a few more miles on the car it will be going straight to the guys. I'll be sure to keep you guys updated over the upcoming weeks. M14
