Nicely done, Hawaii50!

Those decals really bring together the overall theme.

I'll definitely know it's you on the highway. ;-)

I'm currently out of work (yikes!). Maybe we can meet for coffee one day; if only to put the two VOs side by side in a parking lot. Haha!

Thanks, f56fangirl.

Good question. The good news is you won't have the EPA delay to hold you up as it did for so many others.

I ordered the car July 11 through a guy at our credit union. It was a simple matter of emailing him the PDF from the MINI site. He worked through MINI of Monrovia. I never set foot on a dealer lot, though I test drove it locally back in March when it was introduced here.

The car was actually built pretty fast.

On August 12 the car was loaded onto the shipping vessel in Southampton. You can actually track the vessel as it makes its way around the various coastlines. I must have checked fifteen times a day. Hahaha!

It arrived in Port Hueneme on September 5. We drove up the next day and took pictures of the shipping vessel. We also went to the Vehicle Distribution Center 1.4 miles from the port.

It sat there until October 15 due to the EPA delay.

My schedule prevented me from picking it up until the October 29.

I hope that gives you some idea of what to expect.

And, congratulations!

JP
I am trying to track mine on the vessel as well , what site did you use? I can't figure any of them out to well . I should be able to do that simple thing buy can't . It should arrive on the 25th of march !!!! so excited .

I was using this one https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?frameId=149453672918821574&url=https%3A%2F%2Fatt.2wglobal.com%2Fgstattweb%2Focean.do%3Fmethod%3DgetDefaultOceanQuickSearchPage , and enter your VIN in the Cargo ID box. If that doesn't work go here and click on Track and Trace https://www.2wglobal.com/

Once you have a vessel ID you can go here https://www.vesselfinder.com/ and enter in the name or number and it will help you see where the ship is, more or less. It doesn't work well when the ship is away from port.

The Mini I ordered was unloaded Monday and I'm just waiting for it to make the 2 hour trip to the dealer...
