The Cooper S does not come with the option of a spare wheel, due to the exhaust position, unlike the Cooper which can carry a spare wheel.
If you don't have a spare wheel, Mini apparently think you won't need to jack the car up to change the wheel, so I suppose that is why a jack isn't supplied.
If that is the case, it is a bit mean especially if there is a place for it.
