Yep... I have tried today and the VIN is now on the lookup. All equipment correct and I was right about the T - it's an Oxford build (says so on there).

Called the dealer who claimed the status hasn't changed from Confirmed by Production Control which is odd. Anyway, nice to be able to verify the car is as it should be... not long now

It has been covered before and it is not available in the UK

My dealer is giving me the progress and can give you yours if you ask for it (some do it off their own back). But you cannot find out yourself where the car is


The best you can do yourself is put your Chassis Number into the VIN lookup (http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html). If it brings up the data, the car is built.


IF you are in the USA you can use the progress tool but it does not work with UK orders.

I took your advice and telephoned the dealer. My car is due with them next week. Apparently they have 2 scheduled deliveries, one on Tuesday and the second on Thursday. However, they don't know which my MCS will arrive on.

One factor that could delay things is how long DVLA take to process my personal number plate. The sales person said it can take upto 3 weeks!
