Anyone any tips on kerping the steering wheel feeling new?

On my previous MINIs after 2 years or so the steering wheel has felt a little "shiney" and not like mine does now.

So, any of our car cleaning experts got any advice?

Thanks

I use the auto finesse range for keeping the leather in my current car clean an looking new. It keeps the Matt finish and doesn't make it shine. I hate shiney leather, it looks horrible imo.
It even got rid of the shine on the steering wheel in my dads work van an made it look new again.

You could always do what solar red said an use a mild detergent though as the shine is usually caused by sweaty and dirty hands

Some manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen, call vinyl-based materials “leatherette”. Toyota uses leatherette on some versions of the Prius and instead of hiding it, Toyota boasts that it is environmentally friendlier than the real thing.

Note: Vinyl !
