With EDC (DDC?), you would have to wait for manufacturers to produce controlled versions of their dampers - I see at least KW and Bilstein already make these but only for BMW and VW models with EDC so far.
If you just fit 'standard' coilovers and so leave the damper electrical connections connected to nothing, I imagine the ECU may give a fault.
