I would imagine that due to the electronics involved it would be expensive to change from LEDs to halogens or vice versa. Nothing is ever impossible though, and I happy to be challenged if the units are modular and the software changes can be carried out.
Out of interest why don't you like the LEDs?

Very difficult and you've just got th e most modern lighting system possible in a mini. Law is right whats not to like. You'd be crazy to get rid.

Btw juzi, there isn't an f56 with chargers I think you think the xenon they refer to are the hids but t heye aren't they are halogen bulbs with the better xenon gas in them. Lots have been confused about this.

Having just gone from lamps with average lumens to LED lights, I agree that they rock. I can see signs and things on the road so much more clearly at night. I had a brief concern that they would be too bright for drivers in front of me, but I notice that the line of the illumination hit at or below the rear windshields of other cars, and no one has flipped me the bird

I think juzi is confusing the systems due bmws description of the ordinary lights which is very misleading.

Probably. In any case, WYSIWYG. You can't change out the lights. Sorry.
