Hi all. Trying to figure out how I can get my recently acquired 2016 Clubman - with the basic Nav - to show live traffic. Can this be done via phone connection or does it have to be via Mini Connected (something I’m currently trying to figure out with Mini HQ since the app won’t let me register my VIN)?

I probably wouldn't waste your time with Mini Connected as when it does work it only provides minimal information. With a basic nav system you would be better off using GPS from your phone, something like Google maps or Waze for live traffic updates. Even with the full Mini nav system you are relying on highways agency supplied data.

Thanks. Read a bit on heat about how Connected is a bit of a farce. Shame. Google Maps is my Nav or choice so it would be great to try and hook up the info received by my phone, into the route shown on the oem unit in the car.
