G'Day, you will find the gas cap will lock once the vehicle is locked - so I believe. If the doors are unlocked then so is the external fuel cap.
The hidden compartment and a few other things were removed from factory build after the MY15 model. So I think from roughly July 2015 onwards, the F series wont have these little features.

Cessa is correct! MY 2016 started production in July 2015, with the deleted items. My JCW was built June 4th and has the items thankfully.
