I finally bought a Cooper S. After owning a R50 one for two years, a R56 Cooper (Laurel Sport Edition) for two and a halve years it's now time to move on.

My eye caught a good looking and well specced F56 Cooper S at my MINI dealer. The car in question is from 2014 in the color British Racing Green. After the test drive and the negotiatings (which included my R56) I decided to buy the car.

I arranged with the dealer to swap the rims from 18" to 17" black ones. As mentioned the car is finished in British Racing Green, with Dark Truffle leather sport seats and a Cottonwood dashboard.

More options:
- Rearview camera
- Active passenger protection
- Adaptive LED headlights
- 2-zone automatic airconditioning
- RDC
- Bluetooth and usb audi
- Boardcomputer
- ConnectedDrive Services
- S Spoiler
- Driving Assistent
- Dynamic Damper Control
- EfficientDynamics
- Heated seats
- Head-up Display
- LED fog lights
- 17" black wheels
- Arm rest
- MINI Excitement package
- MINI drive mode
- Navigation Professional
- Park assistent
- Park Distance Control
- Real time traffic information
- Rain / light sensor
- Lighting package
- Wired package
- White turning lights

Counting down the days to get my MINI, the 28th of December. But already looking for other exhaust. Don't know yet what I should do or what is the best for a Cooper S.

Thinking about:
- MINI JCW Pro kit + tuning
- Remus Catback
- Fi Exhaust
- Armytrix

Are there pros and cons as far as you know with these exhausts?

In open valve mode the armytrix is incredibly loud, maybe too loud? Very expensive too. The JCW Pro Kit is also very expensive but can be fitted by your mini dealer if that gives you any extra piece of mind.

The Fi I don't know as much about, only seen a few videos on youtube. The Remus a lot of people have here on their cars and all say very good things about it however to my ears it sounds a little too harsh in open valve mode.

Thanks all! So far so good. I've a relative good impression after two days of driving with the car.

First let's start with the Green mode. It's fuel efficient, drives gentle and smooth. But when your on the highway you'll notice that it's get a holding back, or less power output for example when you want to overtake someone. On my first tank I got +50km due the green mode, not bad at all.

The Midi mode is best of both worlds, still fuel efficient, but a bit less than with the Green mode. The car reacts better on the throttle and you get more sound in the car. When you hit the gas it spurts away, and the steering is a bit sharper than with the Green mode.

And now the party begins; the Sport mode. In everything you'll notice that the car wants to be driven. A good and quick throttle response, more pro-active steering moments and the sound is much more. During the drive in Sport mode you notice the turbo work, with the blow off sound from the boost. The exhaust makes some burbs and bangs until it makes you drive the car with a smile.

In the next future I will change the exhaust for a Remus exhaust for more sounds.
