Not having much luck recently. Was parked in the services when a drunk t*** was running past the car. The woman next to me opened her door and he fell straight into my car. Initially thought he just hit the mirror which I just twisted back to normal as it was pitch black. Next day I noticed the massive head-shaped dent he'd left in the side of my driver's door.

What's the best course of action with this? Does it look easily fixable? Anyone got any recommendations of places around either Bristol or Birmingham that they trust and don't cost an arm and a leg?

Happy new year

Not sure why the pictures are sideways by the way

Eek, whereabouts in Bristol are you, I have used a chap who lives rounds the corner (Westbury On Trym) He specialises in small damage and does a great job, loads of people round here have used him, you can text him the pictures and he can let you know if its in his remit and give you a price - Was it a student who head butted your door??? If you are interested I will PM you his details

Cheers guys, it does look like it'll just pop out. I'm worried it'll have a crease on it. @finnster if you could pm me his details that would be great. I've just sent the pictures to a ding master place near me. It wasn't a student, was a fully grown man who managed to end up flat on his back after slipping. If I'd gone back to my car 30 seconds earlier I wouldn't have a problem at all! Feel gutted about it, really hated driving home today.

Yeah, start with a dent removal place and see what they say. I've been surprised by what the guy I use can pop out.

The outer skin on the Mini is extremely thin I must say every time I go thru the car wash and you come to the blower to get the water off I can her the roof pop and making noise so when the Dude got his head on it does not surprise me that it left a dent.:D

You watched the drunk person dent your car.? If so,did you get their info so they can be accountable and pay for the damage?
Unfortunately I didn't notice the damage until the next day as it was pitch black. He'd knocked my mirror up which I noticed and thought that was all he'd done to be honest, and that just popped back down easily. I've got it booked into a local dent master place tomorrow morning who thinks he should be able to get rid of it.

Unfortunately due to its position around the door handle, a lot of the guys I've be enquiring to have been put off and stated it would be not be suitable for the paint less dent removal method. The guy I'm using is going to pop it out from behind the panel. The only bit he's concerned about is right at the top as it's quite a sharp point and may have left a crease or mark.

Anyway, I'll know tomorrow how it looks and it hasn't cost anything as much as I was worried about. Even if there's a small imperfection left after, I can look to get it sorted at a later date. As I'm sure most of the dent places would be more comfortable fixing a really small mark rather than an enormous dent like mine!

Dent devils or some such paintless dent repair specialists will sort this in seconds; google it; dent devils around here are really good! Dent wizard did this on ours rear panel of our mini cabriolet.
Here we go

after https://www.dropbox.com/sc/j4m1mgu9y88034k/AADe_0GrF2M08QK_FTa7yycAa

A lot smaller than yours BUT apparently this wa s a tricky one due to no access from the inside! Good luck
Thanks, as I mentioned above all of the paint less dent removal people I spoke with all said they couldn't do it that way because of the location and size of the dent unfortunately. So I'm getting it done the old school way of popping it out from the back. However if there are any smaller marks left after this, I'm planning to see if they can sort them with the paint less dent removal as they'll be easier to manage than the massive one at the moment.

Can't wait to get it sorted tomorrow. It's made driving the car unenjoyable. I've also not been on here since! Hopefully after tomorrow I'll be back to normal again
