Just filled up and this tank has seen 44.2mpg!! Tank range was estimating >420 miles by the end of the tank and it's usually ~370.

Wowzer!

Couple of longish runs on the A96 at mostly sub-60mph but a couple of *cough* blasts on the overtaking sections!!

I've had tanks down around 34mpg though .....

I'm an ex-diesel driver, still slightly obsessed my mpg....

But don't worry, I'll give her a good blow out at the weekend ...fancy a run up round Cullen direction if it's nice...the B9031 gives good pops/bangs per mile.......

This is terrible news your not driving the car as expected to do lol, we have got 31.5 average fro first 500 miles mainly all short runs and a few detours for fun well pleased with that as sure it will improve with a few K on it
Agree, from the thread title I was hoping to see a record low mpg.

my current record; 12mpg to a tank, average 23. Once saw 30 on a run up to A90.

Who needs diesel...?

Well, my Cooper D has done 15,000 miles and I'm more than delighted with the performance/fun-factor.

I'm getting 68mpg on diesel (across a range of journeys) which costs around 85p per litre in France and, currently, £1.07 in Blighty.

The diesel argument gets stronger by the day, in my opinion.
