Just waiting for delivery of my new Cooper S in Thunder Grey fully loaded but I am having difficulty to trying to establish what the part number is for the iPhone 5s cradle full media unit.

Has anyone else had one installed

I purchased this car as I intend to revert to my younger days as I am retiring soon

OK... the good news is that I've found some actual information.
But you have to understand a little German

If you can find the accessories on mini.de you can select mini since 2014 and telecommunication accessories. In there you find snap in adapters for Apple, Nokia, Blackberry and Samsung phones. Apple one is 86 euros.

That's as much as I can understand... maybe another member can help some more?

I actually looked into this yesterday myself and although I found out very little, the one thing I did find was that the cradle for the MINI will be different to the BMW so even as the BMW ones are already with us, they won't match the F56.
Or at least thats the way I read it.:nerd:

i too just placed an order for a fully loaded f56 and need an adapter for the are rest for my iPhone 5S and can't seem to find anything about it.

But the part number has been determined as - 8421289718

As you'll see from the post linked above, I have the cradle and was able to confirm the part number etc

It works well - but you definitely don't NEED it. I'm glad I got it though - saves having a cable on show, and charges the phone really quickly.

@Metalpetal how did you get the dealership to order yours? Mine have just told me that the part number 8421289718 isn't available for my chassis number. They say I can only order parts liked to the chassis, so an MC.

Hi all, been reading this carefully as I have an F56 with enhanced Bluetooth on order due to arrive Sept and want my iPhone 5S to work with it all the way.


So, the part number ending 718 is the one to go for, and that allows music, mini connected and the office / telephony functions to all work?


Has anyone actually confirmed it works with all of them? because some sources seem to indicate that does not work with MINI connected.


Also - Volc, I am in Manchester too - which dealer is giving you grief? is it stockport Williams cos that's the one I ordered my mini from and the one I intend to buy part number 718 from, but if they give me a line like "they cant sell it to me" then Ill try a different dealer chain.

Hi @profiteroles it was Williams Manchester but I guess part of the same group so they might be the same. Not sure if there's another approach to making them order it? Or maybe it was just me!

I'll ask at stockport - the saleswoman said to me that I can use my iPhone with the car so i'll just ask for the right snap in


if not I don't live too far from haliwell jones (used to be blue bell) in Wilmslow, might try them (different group perhaps)


is there any confirmation that the part x718 allows all functionality with 6NE Extended BT, and MINI Cnnected? I have read conflicting info...
