When you think the technology you are used to is all that is needed, welcome to the old farts club. How come electronic aids from before you started driving are essential and not just frippery? My grandfather believed that any driver not able to use an advance/retard control (ie, to manually adjust spark plug timing) was an incompetent that should not be allowed to drive. Some may be tempted to say the same thing of a driver that cannot use a choke control.
