German tuning house Maxi-Tuner has done some work on the 2014 Mini Cooper S, and the results are pretty exciting.

Stock, the 2014 Mini Cooper S runs on a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. That engine develops 192 PS and 280 Nm. Once Maxi-Tuner was done with their MINI Cooper, it took those numbers up to 220 PS and 340 Nm. How did Maxi-Tuner get those increases? Well, let me tell you.

The MINI Cooper S received a chip tuning box and sports exhaust made from stainless steel. At an extra cost a valve exhaust system and a cup exhaust can be fitted that make the MINI ready for the track.

Also added to the MINI are 18-inch Schmidt Shift alloy wheels with lowering springs provided by H & R.

As far as what that means for the top speed of the MINI Cooper S, the upgrades bring the top speed from 146 mph to 155 mph.

So what is this all going to cost you? Well, it isn't cheap. The basic exhaust would cost 699 euros while the more track focused exhaust would cost 899 euros. The wheels would cost 1498 euros, and the lowering springs would cost 279 euros.

Just another example of what you can do with the 2014 MINI Cooper S.
