Spotted on the streets of Munich earlier , this car is an electric version of the Coupe they launched last year.
A test fleet of MINI Cooper electric cars was built by BMW a few years ago and its use led to the creation of the i3. Notice the big wing similar to the JCW Endurance Race Car has been placed on the back, and the suspension setup is clearly redesigned for hardcore racing conditions.
The car is likely a successor to the 2010 MINI E Race, which lapped the Nurburgring in an all-electric time of 9 minutes 51.45 seconds at the hands of DTM driver Thomas Jager.
