MINI has come out with a special edition model that wears the colors of Brazil, the host country for the 2014 World Cup. The GoalCooper has more functions than just a fancy color scheme though.
Designer Oliviero Weilinho created the kit using astro turf floor mats in Brasileiro Green, while 'floodlights' are done with MINI LEDs that give off a stadium feel. The back of the car has a universal holder for smartphones and one for Apple's iPad devices. It even has a miniature table football set installed in the center rail.
The most interesting part of the GoalCooper are the the special reclining back seats that transform the boot into a goal using carefully placed nets. The Park Distance Control sensors act as a goalie, blocking shots with the tailgate when the ball approaches the back of the car.
The model was unveiled today, April 1st, but details like the transfer fee and contract periods are still yet unknown.
