I own a Mini F55 One 2015 that has the stock flat spoiler, I am looking to buy a JCW spoiler which has the part number: 51627379605.

I have seen on the forum that the F56 JCW spoiler needs different covering side trim as seen on the diagram: RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog

But for the F55 JCW spoiler there's only one type of side covering trim : RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog

So does that mean that I only need the spoiler and no side trim for the retrofit?

Not sure if this has been answered yet, but you'll need the side trim. I just swapped mine over on my F56. I assume it's the same.
