A couple of years back I hired an R56 MCS Convertible to do a lap of Scotland from the MINI dealer in Edinburgh. It was an absolutely fabulous 4 days.

Thanks, we have already booked a trip on the Loop in Scotland, an F56 mini S, but we are having issues finding an automotive rental dealer in Ireland that has minis!A couple of years back I hired an R56 MCS Convertible to do a lap of Scotland from the MINI dealer in Edinburgh. There are 50 minis in this run and a good number of us are from the US. We all booked through the same tour leader. I don't know where they obtained all the minis for this run and we have planned to travel Ireland prior to the Scotland trip. I suppose we can reverse the trips. Also, since Brexit Great Britain is no longer a part of the EU I don't know how that will impact a GB car in an EU country! Gee whiz politics suck! We may have found a mini convertible that looks to be an R series S that may serve our needs. It really is becoming more trouble than it is worth. But thank you for the idea! I am not ready to give up yet. Maybe just tour Sweden and rent a Subaru WRX STI to tour! You could always take the same car over on the ferry from Cairnryan. Its approx a 2 hour crossing.

Please post details if you find anywhere in Ireland that will guarantee a MINI.
