Mini Tyre Insurance (UK)

I can't believe this is a thing!

They want around £200 a year to cover all kinds of damage to tyres.

I could pretty much buy 2 tyres for that (16" Victory Spoke Alloys) so for me it's not worth it at all!

Has anyone actually bought this or negotiated a more realistic price?

I have never bought tyre insurance however with my F56 for the very first time I went for a tyre cover (not mini) and guess what, needed a new tyre within the first week after hitting a pothole and the new insurance company covered it. Happy bunny I was..
