HI well i was wondering since ive just had my first cooper S for a couple of month now, how do i make mini connected work, i downloaded the app on my iphone 5s , do i need a special cable? because the one usb cable i use for charging my phone wont work :/

Maybe a silly question, but do you have Visual boost or Media XL.

I have visual boost not XL and I use just a USB cable as supplied with my iPhone.
Make sure you start the app first on your iPhone before you connect phone to cable, then open up the connected function on the central screen.

i do have one of those, the one with the 6.5 inch screen not the most expensive one, dont remember the name lol, i think its my aftermarket cable wich isnt working ill buy a new one today, see if thats the problem, i do get the option of mini connect on the screen of my cooper s

Are you using the Apple cable or a third party?

Third party cables are really hit or miss with Connected.
