Hi all,

New F56 JCW.

On my previous Minis a momentary press of the lock button on the remote would turn on the interior lighting for 15 seconds.

On my new F56 when I do this all that happens is the dim ambient lighting and exterior door handle lights come on for 5 seconds.

Is there a way to briefly illuminate the interior of the car with the brighter overhead courtesy lighting like it worked in the past?

Yes I'm sure. Is the courtesy light on ie does it come on when you open the doors?

When you press the lock button on the remote the area where the courtesy light is glows red along with the other ambient lights. As soon as you unlock the car this light turns to white as a courtesy light.


I was hoping when you momentarily press the lock button the interior courtesy light would illuminate briefly not the ambient lighting.

I'm pretty sure if you hit unlock then the white interior lights come on and then you could just hit lock when you want them to turn off
