I have a Cooper D on order which is due early June ( hopefully)

I was really undecided by the colours so I went for moonwalk grey but I was unable to get a definitive idea of the colour as there are none about

However my local dealer traced one in a dealer at stoke so I went over this morning to look at it

Really impressed by it. The best way I can describe it is like a primer grey metallic. It is really quite unusual but I guess a matter of taste

Anyway I loved it and have told my dealer to stick with this colour

Spec is ;

Welcome!

They are worth it - i know I've done it too - spec the girl up!

The only difference between ours as far as I can decipher is that I have a volcanic orange 1.5 petrol, black roof and caps, black trim, park pack, driving assistant pack and cosmos black wheels.

No run flats no bonnet stripes.

Other than that seems the same! I got an excellent deal so went all out for it - wasn't too concerned about anything.

Congratulations - looks like a very nice colour!

Very nice spec.

I would have loved the petrol but since I do about 400-500 miles a week it had to be a diesel. Funny how the diesel has a bigger tank than the petrol you would think it would be the other way round! I didn't even drive the petrol because I knew it would be awesome and I wouldn't be able to resist my heart over my head!

The 100% FYA as a company car has pleased my MD as well!

I am coming out of a Toyota hybrid so looking forward to some motoring fun. Fun has been a bit scarce recently

Fun and mini go together - driving my wife's around for the last 3 years is something I cherish and the funny thing is that her mini isn't specced up at all - it is just a basic Mini Cooper from 2008!

This shall be fun then!

Moonwalk Grey

I, too, have a Cooper in Moonwalk Grey due early June.
Have seen just one other example in this colour with Black cosmos wheels, no Chrome exterior line, black roof & mirrors.
It looked good but mine is all over colour way plus chrome & alloy Cosmos. So will it look cool or a tad drab ?
I'm exchanging my Gen One in Hyper Blue ,white roof & stripes which looks outstanding.I'm seeking confidence in my choice.Any pictures out there ?

Hi Guys ,

this car was unfortunately parked in a dealer compound between 2 cars so all I could get was a picture from the rear , I think it is a very understated colour , it was raining when I looked at it but you can hardly tell it is metallic. I definitely wouldn't say it is drab but of course some people will think so. The car is a 1.5 Cooper petrol (cancelled order -customer changed mind for a diesel) in a fairly basic spec , I clocked the standard
(small radio)and seats but can't tell you much more , the dealer is Knights North Staffs in Stoke on Trent if you want to call them to arrange a viewing they were very helpful.

If its that dark up there you may want to consider Volcanic Orange plus the LED daytime running lights

Seriously cool....
Orange was my automatic choice, but when I was looking for an RS Clio a few years back I fancied storm grey, think moonwalk hits a similar spot ;) Mind you we're all tracters up here, so a John Deere green respray will be on the cards with yellow wheels.

I don't think I've got enough magic beans for the LED lights :D but there will be some DRLs I assume, is it not a requirement for new cars now?

It seems like such a strange colour since every photo and video shows it differently. Each camera manufacturer uses a different colour palette & I suspect that it's one of those shades that shows this - you just need to see it in person.....

I have to admit after seeing it up front it's not a colour i would go for

It's like a cement grey - it's the only way I can put it

Nevertheless a lot of people are not going to like my volcanic orange colour so granted we have our own opinions so let it be

If someone likes it go for it - that's the whole point - I think personally it would look a lot better with a black roof and caps and certainly with black wheels - it would give it a more rounded contrasted look...

Thanks GoKart7 for posting the pictures. Have had my Moonwalk Grey Cooper on order for over 4 weeks and this is the first time I've seen the colour on an actual car. Really glad it's not a bland silver colour. I think it looks like mercury.

I nearly ordered Volcanic Orange (which I love) but felt as it's a no cost option there would be thousands of them on the roads and wanted something different.

No Minis look good on small alloys and I agree with your comment that larger black wheels and black contrast roof/mirror combination will work far better than the spec of the car pictured. Just as well that's what I've ordered!
