So Morris had his first service today, 2nd birthday was yesterday, 18.5K miles.

Almost textbook......

New foglights being fitted - originals have so much condensation in them that one of them is actually collecting water like a tear!

New sidescuttles - the red S is wearing away from the passenger side.

Both on warranty, no quibbles.

DAB being retuned.

But....

Oil leak requiring investigation!!! I topped up with about 1L of oil about 6-8 weeks ago as I got the error message, typical timing I thought, just before a service. But apparently there is a 'significant' leak which they'll clean up and investigate. It's not dumped oil on my drive or anything so can't be that bad, wonder if it's a sump plug seal or something after they changed the crankshaft bearings? Will find out tomorrow when I collect him back with everything completed.

Got a brand new F57 Cooper as a courtesy - FREE LOAN - shame it's stair-rod rain today! Typical........

Bit odd you should lose that much oil but not see it on your drive; my Mr2 made a right mess on the drive BUT i never lost enough to need a top up between (6k or 6 month) services. Hope they sort it quickly for you, old Morris has been a bit naughty!

I think it's mostly collected in the tray bit underneath, by what they were saying. Not too stressed out about it.

More stressed out about the weather in Aberdeen when they've given me a convertible loaner #tantrum

Well Morris is still in the dealership :( You couldn't make this stuff up, honestly!

The oil filter housing unit is cracked .... the same oil filter housing unit that was replaced in October last year under a recall! FFS!!!!

Either a bad one retrofitted or some buffoon in the dealership cracked it putting it on.

Never mind, another 24hrs with the convertible ... and another 24hrs rain!! #frustrated

Bomber jacket, flying helmet and goggles and off you go, roof down, with a long white scarf trailing in the slipstream.

Sod the rain....

Seriously though, what bad luck you have had with Morris. At least your dealers have been decent apart from the hire car/courtesy car insurance unreasonableness in the past.
