Hello everyone.
After deciding not to ride this winter on the motorcycle, I picked up a 2015 Deep Blue Hardtop Cooper S on 11/2. I decided to get one off the lot and got a pretty great deal on it. Came with cold weather, sport, and premium packages.
My car history includes 5 years with a 2008 Golf, about 6 months with a Scion FR-S, and most recently a couple motorcycles. I enjoyed the motorcycles and would ride year round without the need of a car if I lived somewhere more temperate, but with temperatures already in the low 30s (F), and not wanting to buy heated hear, I needed a car.
I love blue cars and my Golf was about the same deep blue as my new F56, which is also very close to the blue of my wife's VW Tiguan. Of course, I don't wash hers as much so mine is always shinier. So far I'm really enjoying the mini and have only about 450 miles on it. I've never named a car and I don't expect this one will be any different, so around my house we just call it "the mini".
