Hi there,Thank you to Jonathan for the tip off to Luxemini, I ordered some red bumper stripes straight away and they came last week.
So this week I set to work to fit them myself using the (YouTube) Wet application method, this works well if you're not confident positioning the stickers right first time. But as soon as I fitted the first one I noticed how the sticker overlapped the grill aperture and I couldn't make it stick to the surface because it was wet underneath. This might not be an issue if you apply them dry and stretch the vinyl into the aperture, but I decided to remove the sticker and trim them so they just sat on the flat area around the grill aperture.
This also meant that there was less risk of catching an edge when cleaning around the stickers and eventually losing their adhesion to the bumper.
To trim them I used the old school method of crayon rubbing the bumper through a piece of paper to make a pattern, and in hindsight I should have just bought a piece of (much cheaper) red vinyl off eBay and made them from scratch myself.
Another minor issue with the Luxemini stickers is that compared to the concept mini Jonathan showed, they aren't quite as long so they don't stretch to the inner edge of the front grill aperture (saving on vinyl!) and the red (on BRG) isn't the best match to the Chilli red JCW details either, so just DIY.
Anyhow, you can see in the pics that I have them front and back now and value your opinion, good or bad. All I will say is that I have also fitted the JCW roof spoiler aero tips (sprayed red) and along with the bumper stickers, I am not sure all mods will be staying on the car...
