Has anyone else found it fiddly to change albums/artists?

I had hoped to have track + and - and also folder + and - to navigate through the tree. However, the MFSW only seems to allow the track to be changed and to change folders involves a fiddly trip through layers of iDrive menus.

I really hope I'm missing something. The first generation's Boost CD that played MP3 CDs had better navigation!

I've spent ages trying to work this out, but it seems that the only way to navigate to a different folder (or album) is to go back to the menu, reset the search, choose the new folder and press play etc etc.

Frankly - it's absurd - you basically can't change folders (albums) without stopping the car (or risk crashing).

So far this is the single most annoying thing about the car - I was hoping I was just being stupid ;-)

This is the one complaint I listed on my customer satisfaction survey. I came here to see if it was just something I am missing. Even the 6 year old after market stereo in my old car had folder +/- buttons. Not to mention, would play the next folder when all of the tracks in the current folder finished playing, where the Mini's system keeps repeating the current folder. It's dangerous to have to navigate the folders when you're driving. Seems like a simple software update that should be addressed.

I've got the hard drive now but on usb in my r56 I had this problem so I had three core folder labelled a to g. H to p and p to z. Then put artists albums in each folder saves loads of messing works a treat.

Eg ac dc albums would all go in a to g folder Madonna in h to p . I added a film sound track folder too.so ended up with 4 simplest way to find albums quickly.
