Just ordered a Cooper S today, expecting its arrival in early September

Can anybody tell me if it will be a model year 2015?

Nice spec, how much did it cost and did you get any discount

@Centaur one, it's a company car (for my wife) funded through BMW (Alphabet) leasing. We buy all our cars through our local BMW/Mini dealer and get ~10% discount so that's paid for some of the toys!

I usually find that spec'ing them up doesn't result in a huge increase in monthly lease costs since (I guess) the residuals improve with the extra toys (The tax man likes us of course!) :crying:

BUT I ordered mine on the 14th April and I'm hoping to take delivery in September BUT i'm still waiting for a build date:crying: so please don't hold your breath!!!!

Not good news, hope it turns up on time for you...do you know if yours will be a 2015 model year? I can't get a straight answer anywhere as to when the 2015 builds start and if there are any changes from 2014 model year.

5A4 'LED headlights with cornering lights' - Ordering Problem

Turns out my dealer hasn't actually placed my order yet. I ordered the 7Y2 Chilli pack and also specified 5A4 'LED headlights with cornering lights'. Apparently this caused a conflict in the ordering system which they have not been able to resolve yet!

That's a couple of weeks wasted!

I had it go through no problem - what exactly is the problem!

Apparently once the Chili pack is selected then the turning LED's both the website configurator and the dealers ordering system says it's not a valid combination and the Chilli pack has to be removed...
'Ordinary' non-turning LED's don't seem to be a problem.

7Y2 Chiili Pack you get 5A1 LED fog lights with that you can add cornering lights like I have 5A4

Tell them something is wrong with their system - that's how mine has gone through and I'm sure others who actually have their cars will say the same

I tried it on the configurator and there is (at the moment) a problem. I think it's because the 'standard' LED fog lamps included with the chilli pack are different to the ones included with 5A4 headlights (they have the cornering LED's in the fog light assemblies included with 5A4) and for some reason that causes a conflict.

They could delete the Chilli Pack and add the components individually I guess...

Order placed at last!

Dealer finally sorted the LED headlamp / fog lamp conflict. Guess it's going to be October / November delivery now. :|

Added anthracite headlining to spec.

New X5 delivered tomorrow (I hope) so that'll take my mind off the wait for the MCS.

Just heard today that our MCS is at build status 5055 "confirmed for production' with an expected delivery date of wk33 (w/c 11th August) This was totally unexpected as we where recently told by the dealer that it might be in October!

Build progress

Noticed that the Oxford factory are upto VIN T958896 at 09:30 this morning so just over a hundred to go until ours is built - getting excited!

On a negative note we found out yesterday that out dozy dealer has ordered it with the wrong wheels and interior!

Too late - order is locked down for build...

We really wanted "2F2 17" Cosmos Spoke alloy wheels in black" though have ended up with the standard 17" 'Tentacle' rims in silver - the dealer has offered to get the rims painted gloss black FOC.

The interior is "FYE1 Cloth/leather Diamond Carbon Black/Carbon Black" instead of what we wanted "DE1 Cloth/leatherette Black Pearl Carbon Black/Carbon Black"

Dealer says we can wait a couple of weeks and see if we like it or re-order with delivery in November. We're trying to negotiate a 'financial sweetener' though I'm not sure if i should just tell them to keep it...

How do you know when your mini's are being built? Is there a website somewhere I can look at?

Type in the last 7 digits of your VIN and complete the captcha thing...

If you get the error No data related to T95XXXXX was found!

Then your car is not built yet, knock a few numbers off and you will eventually find the last VIN being made at that time...bit of trial and error!

The website is linked to your build sheet and will show the EXACT build config of your car.

We're collecting our MCS on the 23rd when we gat back from holidays in the sun! Bad timing on our part being away on hols when the car arrives at the dealers!

T958962 is the latest MCS VIN built so far today!
T947369 is the latest MC...

Our MCS has just rolled off the production line 10 mins ago...spec looks as it should, nothing missing (apart from the wrong wheels and interior though we knew the dealer had cocked that up and we were too late to change it)

Picking up from Worcester on the 22nd, we have to wait for an extra week to to summer hols
