I was pointed here by R99 as I'm sourcing him with some KW Coilovers, I've owned two R53 Cooper S's in the past and currently drive a Golf GTI Edition 30.

Six? Christ! How does your Cooper S compare against the Edition 30? They are formidable cars, especially when mapped.

Very difficult question - I like them both equally but for different reasons - I only changed to Mini ( exchanged the Edition 30 for a JCW ) because friends, accused me of being predictable - Ie 'not another black GTi' !! - the GTi had a DSG box and that was Awesome. Loving every minute behind the wheel of the S but am missing the rawness (if that's a word) of the R56 JCW. Looking forward to the release of the F56 JCW - will certainly be giving it a test drive !!!
