First time Mini owner here in Chicago. Didn't ever think I would get a Mini. It was happenstance but, I love this car !! My last car was on its last legs and broke down in front of a Mini dealer. To make a long story short, I walked into the dealer, and walked out 1 1/2 hours later with a Volcanic Orange Hardtop w/ sunroof and a whole bunch of goodies. I would've loved to order one but, I needed to get home and couldn't wait for the car to be manufactured. One of the best car decisions i've made. It will take me on many a road trip so I've decided to name it "Rocinante". There weren't any cars on the lot available with the Mini Connected feature so, I have a basic radio. Now that I've discovered the Mini Connected, i want to get it installed. Anyone ever retrofitted this feature ?
Thanks in advance.

Great story! So few people actually listen when the Universe speaks. Did they take your car in trade?

Leslie, they did take my car. Gave me $1500 for it which is better than pumping $4000 into a non running 2005 Suzuki. I don't know what they did with it but, i keep getting notices on my Carfax app that theres maintenance being done to it. It did it's job. It was my broke ass/post divorce car. Funny, I saw the same model badged as a Chevy while on a trip to Cambodia.
I'm a cyclist and the only mod to my F56 has been adding a Yakima roof rack with a bike carrier (Yakima Viper). It has slots on the roofline and made installation ridiculously easy. I've found that I also needed a radar detector. :)
I need to see about switching out the speakers though. For now, i'm having too much fun with the sport mode.

Minis are addictive and too much fun to be street legal. Enjoy the ride and camaraderie that is the Mini hallmark. This is our second Mini and most likely won't be the last. Be careful on the bike. We were avid cyclists for some time, but eventually gave it up. We lost some friends while biking. Kentucky is not a particularly bike friendly state.
