Hi all. New on here, with a shiny new blazing red 5dr.
Popped into the dealer to see if the 5dr was big enough one Sunday noon, 5 days later it's outside the house:)
Love it, the colour is amazing blazing in the sun, love the metallic extra depth.
Going to post on the things I love/don't love also, but in the meantime, a burning question?

In the boot are two towing eyes! Just loose and clanging around. Is there a place for them to reside? The tool kit is full! The dealer handed it over that way.

So glad they did the 5 Dr, the kids love it also, it's our 5th family member.

Two extra ones?

Usually there's just one in the tool kit under the boot floor. I'd give them back to the dealer - they had to have come from somewhere...might have been another car? So odd...

The reason there was two is that's how they tether them down on the transporter, you should not have them, they probably belong to the transport company or BMW/MINI.

Thanks, that expains that then. I'll check the kit has one in there and remove out of the car. Shame they never left anything useful in there, like a set of LED headlights or parking sensors!
The dealer did sneak a car clean kit in to it though as part of his sales pitch ;-) Found out later its part of the seal and protect pack that was on it already!! I feel conned.. Never mind still ended up with a nice shiny new S.

Yes don't give em back till you've checked you have one in the polystyrene holder in the kit bit of the boot (if you give them back at all; they've probably not even missed them) bit like the police who leave those 'police operation in progress ' signs lying around everywhere-never seen an operation but lots of the signs. What are they doing or is it a sneaky ploy to slow us down!

So... found the kit, seemingly untouched. Managed to unfasten the velcro that was wrapped around the underside (slight overkill) and lo and behold the towing eye was indeed missing. Now reunited and not rolling around the boot. Great PDI work from the dealer. Also a lot of water down there, will need to dry, air and keep and eye on that. Suspect from a valet, but not sure why as was new?
