So, we all know about the temperature "gauge" we can select for the column display... has no numbers...

So, I have acquired an OBD2 - wifi gadget that will tell me more about the car than I ever wanted to know... including that it's normal running temperature is 220 degrees F.

My last car, and my old Alfa, normally run in the range of 200-205 degrees F, so this seems high to me...

Thoughts?

I have a Scangauge2 fitted to my F56 Cooper and I can confirm the running temperature is usually about 105 deg.Celcius or 220 F.

I thought it a bit hot too when I first observed the reading some weeks ago when I fitted the gauge, but it appears to be completely normal.

On my Lotus Exige the fan use to start at 92c, and normal temp was 105c, and temperture used to get as high as 120c after a good blast.
