Hi all:

I have the black Victory Wheels on my F56S. I suffered a rock strike on the expressway and now there is a 1 centimeter diameter chip in the clear coat and a small ding in the black paint on one of my wheels. How can I fix this to prevent the clear from continuing to peel? I am pretty good at wrenching but paint is not my area of expertise.

Thanks for the help! :)

Your Mini dealer can get touch-up paints for wheels which come in a twin-pack with lacquer. The brush in the screw cap is a size more suitable for painting houses, but the paint works fine. Of course if you're hundreds of miles from the nearest dealer, this isn't much help to you.

I called the dealer today to order a touch up kit for my wheel ding. They took my name, looked up my VIN, and then found a part number - not in stock special order. I said go ahead so they went to order it and they say it is discontinued! The car is so new I'm not sure the original paint is dry!!!
